The MIRACLE project is a Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) project in which new RF technology will be designed for breast MRI and spectroscopy at 7T and 10.5T. The phospholipid biomarker that can predict response of chemotherapy in patients with breast cancer will be validated with the most powerful MRI system in the world (10.5T). The MIRACLE project is a collaboration between the UMC Utrecht, The Center for Magnetic Resonance Research in Minneapolis and WaveTronica. WaveTronica will be responsible for the design and testing of the two RF coil setups. The RF coils will integrate a multi-channel transceive setup for proton imaging and a quadrature transceiver setup for phosphorus imaging, integrated in a unilateral imaging setup at both field strengths.
